Techno Gadget of the Week
Everyone needs to at least try out Google SketchUp at least once in their life. I love to draw and create and this is a fabulous tool that allows me to create a 3 dimensional drawing. SketchUp is a free download software from Google, which allows the user to model, explore and create 3D drawings on their computer. The software also comes with free tutorials to help get you started. Click on the link, download the software and try it out.

I've seen your students using this application several times. They are engaged and extremely involved during the class period. Your math background is beneficial to students when they use it. You offer students a real world scenario and application of math. Way to go, Bonnie!

I like the statement by google. "We live in 3D, why not learn in 3D?" This is a fantastic tool for teaching geometry!

I have been looking for a program that will do exactly what this does. I am going to try this out with my students. What grade level did you use this with? I am interested to know if all of my grade levels would be able to use it.....
